So we put in an offer on what will HOPEFULLY be our first house on September 8. The offer was accepted and away we went! The home inspection and appraisal are both done - and now after all that rushing around we just have to sit and wait! (Closings in NY take an average of 60 days) We're scheduled to close on November 16 - in the negotiation process the sellers asked for a little extra time because they were still hunting for their new house....
Our goal was to be in by the end of November 1. for the tax credit of course and 2. that's when our lease was up on our townhouse
We are in the home stretch - but I just don't want to jinx anything until we get the clear to close!
